Bring the battle to life one splash at a time at Paintball Pyrozone in Melkbosstrand.
As with all other competitive games, the sole objective is to win. Sort of like a more challenging, high-stakes version of tag or hide-and-seek. Beyond that, paintball is hard to describe. The objective might be to take something, bring something, find something or simply be the last person standing. Game types also may include ammunition limits and defending or attacking a particular point or area.
Paintball Pyrozone offers thrills and spills with a speedball and bushball field, as well as a tournament field for daredevils against pro players.
Depending on the field, paintball tactics vary between stealth and picking your shots carefully, to being loud, fast and shooting constantly. The depth of paintball’s strategic elements transforms it from mere play to a test of skill, strategy and teamwork. And therein lies the game’s appeal – it’s always different. The only constant is: you’ll have a blast (pardon the pun).
Because you shoot at other people and get shot at, the facility – run by Bertus and Tracey Cronje – supplies equipment such as goggles, markers and paintballs. Good to know too that safety marshals are on hand to assist with game strategies and ensure safety standards are maintained.
